Overview

Abano Grand Hotel brings old-school Italian glamour to one of Europe’s great thermal spa towns. At its heart is the 3,800 sqm Romanae Thermal Spa, where Abano’s mineral-rich water and mature thermal mud underpin an approach to wellbeing shaped by centuries of bathing tradition. Thermal Renewal

There is something wonderfully simple about the thermal tradition at Abano: mud, water, massage and rest.

Over five sessions, the Health Plus Luxury programme brings these elements together in a personalised thermal ritual. Each begins with an application of Abano’s mature bio-thermal mud, followed by bathing in naturally warm thermal water enriched with aromatic hydro-essences. A generous wellness massage completes the treatment, with herbal tea and time to rest afterwards.

Supported by medical guidance and tailored to the individual, the programme allows you to experience Abano’s thermal tradition as it was intended — not as a single spa treatment, but as a restorative practice repeated over several days.

Made-to-Measure Thermal Programme
The Health Plus Luxury programme is medically assisted and tailored to the individual, creating a more personalised approach to your five days of thermal treatments.

The Abano Tradition

Mature Bio-Thermal Mud
Each session begins with an application of Abano’s mature thermal mud. Clay from the Euganean Hills is immersed in local thermal water for at least two months before being used, allowing it to develop the distinctive qualities for which the region’s fango tradition has become known.

Bathe & Restore

Thermal Water & Hydro-Essences
After the mud treatment, settle into a bath of naturally warm Abano thermal water enriched with aromatic hydro-essences. It is a deeply relaxing continuation of the thermal ritual, bringing water, warmth and scent together.

Time to Unwind

Wellness Massage
Each thermal session is followed by a full wellness massage, allowing the body to relax further after the warmth of the mud and thermal bath. Repeated across the programme, massage becomes part of the daily ritual rather than an occasional indulgence.

A Gentle Finish

Herbal Tea & Rest
Each session concludes with herbal tea and time to pause, allowing the experience to end slowly rather than rushing immediately back into the day.

Movement in Water

Group Aquagym
Group aquagym sessions are available in the thermal pool from Monday to Saturday, adding gentle water-based movement to the programme and offering a more active counterpoint to the restorative treatments.

Rooms & Suites

Grand by Name, Grand by Nature
Rooms embrace an exuberant kind of Italian luxury, with Louis XV-style furniture, marble bathrooms, generous proportions and private balconies. Deluxe rooms start at around 53 sqm, while suites provide considerably more room to spread out. For the greatest sense of escape, choose a room overlooking the gardens and thermal pools.

Accommodation and dining are costed separately.
