Set high above the Guadalest Valley in the mountains of Alicante, VIVOOD Landscape Hotel is an adults-only retreat designed around immersion in the surrounding landscape. Independent glass-fronted suites are positioned across the hillside, each oriented towards wide views of the valley, reservoir and distant mountain ridges. Conceived as a landscape project, the architecture sits lightly on the terrain, with each suite approached from behind to keep terraces open and private. Mountain ridges rise in layers across the Guadalest Valley, one of southern Spain’s most striking inland landscapes. From the hotel’s hillside position, the view opens out — rocky slopes, distant peaks and the pale blue reservoir below. Suites are spaced across the mountainside so each terrace looks out without interruption. After sunset, lighting stays low, and the valley fades back into darkness as the sky fills with stars.

Dining moves between two distinct spaces. The Panoramic Restaurant sits at the heart of the hotel, with wide views across the valley and a seasonal menu built around local ingredients — simple, fresh and easy to return to throughout the day. ConTemple offers a more focused approach, with tasting menus shaped by fire and the surrounding landscape. Both share the same sense of place, where the view, the light and the pace of the evening become part of the experience.

Quiet reset
Wellness here stays closely tied to the landscape. The spa is set beneath a large rock formation, with a small thermal circuit moving between heat, steam, water and stillness. Treatments and rituals draw on natural elements, while the space itself — stone, soft light and panoramic glass — keeps the valley in view. From the relaxation area, you can look out across the landscape, with the sense of being held within it.
MOVEMENT
Mindful mornings
Each morning begins with gentle, guided movement — yoga, meditation or slow practices such as tai chi. Sessions take place in the open air, with the landscape all around, and are easy to join as part of the day. The approach is simple and unhurried, offering a quiet way to move, breathe and settle into the setting.

All accommodation consists of standalone suites set across the hillside, each opening onto a private terrace facing the valley. Floor-to-ceiling glass keeps the view constantly in sight, while interiors remain simple and calm, with natural materials and soft tones. Many suites include outdoor jacuzzis or private pools positioned towards the horizon, making the landscape part of the space.

Mountain setting . Alicante Airport is approximately a 1-hour drive (around 75km). Car hire is recommended due to the hillside location. Parking is available on site.

Explore the Guadalest Valley on foot, visit the nearby village of Guadalest or take to the surrounding mountains for hiking and cycling. The coastline can be reached within an hour. Time at the hotel often centres on the view, the pool and the changing light.

Cancellation
Your stay is booked with Wellness Traveller. Cancellation and amendment terms vary depending on the room, rate and dates you choose. The terms that apply will be provided before you confirm your booking and detailed on your booking confirmation.
For refundable bookings, Wellness Traveller requires an additional 24 hours' notice before the hotel’s cancellation deadlines, allowing us time to process the cancellation on your behalf.
If your plans change, please email hello@wellnesstraveller.co, quoting your booking reference. Your cancellation will take effect from the date we receive your written request.
A £25 administration fee per booking applies where you ask us to make a change or cancellation, in addition to any cancellation charges that apply to your booking. This fee does not apply where you have a statutory right to cancel without charge.
