    PLACE
    Undeveloped
Teranka sits near Playa Migjorn, one of Formentera’s longest and least developed beaches. The coastline here feels open and expansive — low dunes, pale sand and clear water stretching for kilometres, with beach bars spaced lightly along the shore. Behind it, pine forest softens everything, with paths leading out toward quiet coves and viewpoints. The villages of Es Caló and Sant Ferran are within easy reach, though it’s the kind of place that keeps you close. This is one of the island’s quieter corners, where the landscape is left largely as it is.
    DESIGN
    Elemental style
The design keeps a light touch, letting the landscape do most of the work. The hotel is arranged across Mar, Tierra and Cielo, each with its own feel — rooms facing the sea, spaces set among gardens and shaded terraces, and a rooftop that opens out to sky and distant horizon. Inside, materials stay close to the island: pale wood, woven textures, linen and stone, with artworks and objects placed with care. Everything feels considered but relaxed, with a natural ease running through the space.
    WELLBEING
    Wellness woven in
Wellbeing is woven into the way the place is set up. Mornings often begin with yoga on the open-air deck, with other practices like meditation, breathwork and sound sessions appearing quietly through the week. A small spa offers treatment rooms, an ice bath and space to slow down. Beyond the hotel, paths lead through the pine forest toward the coast and hidden coves. Most of it comes back to simple things — time outside, movement, and the feel of air and water.
    TABLE
    Food at heart
Food sits at the centre of the experience. The Garden is the social heart — long tables set among olive trees and soft shade, where seasonal Mediterranean cooking is shaped by island produce and a light, ingredient-led approach. Meals stretch easily from lunch into the afternoon, with a relaxed, convivial feel. At the same time, there are quieter corners — poolside tables, shaded terraces or tucked-away spots among the pines — for something more private. As the evening moves on, people drift up to the rooftop for drinks, with open views across the sea and sky.
    Sleep
    Rooms & Suites

Thirty-five rooms and suites are spread across the Mar, Tierra and Cielo buildings, each with a different connection to the landscape. Some face the sea, others look out across pine forest or garden terraces. Interiors are simple and natural, with soft colours, generous windows and materials that let light and air shape the space.
