Overview
Set on a hillside in Cofiño, between the Picos de Europa and the Cantabrian coast, Puebloastur is a reimagined Asturian village, complete with a church and working farm. The hotel is spread across restored buildings — traditional houses, wooden granaries and surrounding land brought back into use. Views stretch across the Sueve valley, with mist rolling over pasture and distant hills. Days move between time outdoors and time on the terraces or at the spa. It suits those drawn to long walks in untouched nature, with a warm, comfortable base to return to.

PLACE
Sueve valley
Puebloastur sits above the Sueve valley, in the village of Cofiño, with wide views across rolling hills and low mountains. Around a third of Asturias is protected land — nature feels ever present. The land opens out into pasture, woodland and the mountains. Walking routes begin nearby, from valley paths to longer treks into the Picos de Europa.
TABLE
Asturian cooking
Food is rooted in the region. The main restaurant looks out across the valley, with menus shaped by Asturian produce — seafood, local meats and seasonal ingredients from the surrounding land. A second, more relaxed space offers everyday dining, with outdoor seating in warmer months. A generous breakfast starts the day.
WELLNESS
Nature Spa
The Nature Spa is built around a hydrotherapy circuit, with an indoor pool, sauna, hammam, sensory showers and an outdoor jacuzzi. Treatments focus on simple restoration. Outdoor yoga classes take place with the landscape as a backdrop. There’s also forest bathing, inspired by the Japanese practice of moving slowly through wooded areas to reduce stress and reconnect with the senses.
Sleep
Rooms & Suites

Rooms look out over the surrounding countryside, many with private terraces or balconies facing the valley. Interiors are warm and understated — timber, stone and soft textiles — keeping the focus on what’s outside. At around 400 metres above sea level, the air is fresh and nights are noticeably restful.
