On Mallorca’s quieter northeastern coast, Pleta de Mar sits within a private estate where pine forest meets open sea. Designed by Mallorca-based architect Antoni Esteva, the hotel was conceived as a low-density alternative to the island’s resort model, with thirty suites spread across former coastal farmland to preserve a sense of space and quiet. The architecture sits low in the landscape, using warm stone, timber and neutral tones that blend into woodland and cliffs. Two infinity pools face the Mediterranean, while access to a rocky cove replaces the idea of a busy beach. Adults-only and intentionally restrained, it suits couples drawn to immersion, where sea, sun and shade shape the day.
