    Rooted in the heart of Empordà, the culinary philosophy centres on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. At Restaurant El Mas, refined Catalan dishes, include Palamós red prawns, rice from nearby Pals, and tender slow-cooked meats. For a more relaxed setting, the wisteria-shaded bar serves up lighter lunches, from Iberian ham croquettes to crisp salads. The wine list highlights local Empordà DO vineyards, alongside a curated selection from across Spain.

    Water and warmth
    MasSpa is a calm, enclosed space bringing a contrast to the open scenery. There’s a hydrotherapy circuit with indoor pools set at 14 and 38 degrees, alongside a hammam, sauna and Technogym equipment. Treatment rooms focus on restorative therapies, including Natura Bissé facials and massages, with options for couples. Many guests drift here in the late afternoon, before returning to the long cypress-lined pool for slower swims outdoors.

    Situated between the foothills of the Pyrenees and the Costa Brava, the Baix Empordà is a picturesque landscape of farmland, olive groves, and charming stone villages. Mas Torrent offers a tranquil, inland escape surrounded by fields, cypress trees, and gentle hills, whilst still being an easy drive from the stunning beaches of Begur, Sa Riera, and Calella de Palafrugell.

    At the heart of the estate sits the original 18th-century farmhouse, with its thick stone walls and vaulted ceilings meticulously preserved. The suites extend into what used to be outbuildings, arranged around gardens and courtyards that keep everything feeling open and connected. Inside, the design is simple—natural materials, soft tones, and plenty of space. It’s a place that feels truly settled, shaped by the passage of time.

    All 39 rooms are suites, divided between the characterful main masía and more contemporary garden buildings throughout the grounds. The original house features high ceilings and preserved details, while the garden suites offer a lighter, more minimalist feel with private terraces or small gardens that open onto the landscape. A few standalone suites provide extra privacy—some with their own pool.
