Overview

On a quiet street just off La Rambla, Convent de la Missió occupies a restored 17th-century monastery in Palma’s old quarter. Built originally for the Jesuit order, the building retains its central cloister, stone arcades and vaulted corridors, with much of the original structure still intact. Today it houses just over two dozen rooms, keeping the scale intimate and adult in tone. A small, well-considered spa is set within the lower level, while dining is anchored by Marc Fosh’s Michelin-starred restaurant in the former refectory — together creating a calm, self-contained retreat within the city.

    PLACE
    Palma’s Old Quarter

The hotel sits in Palma’s historic La Missió district, a short walk from La Rambla, the Mercat de l’Olivar and the cathedral beyond. Narrow streets are lined with sandstone palaces, former convent buildings and tall façades that hold the shade through the day. Independent galleries, antique shops and contemporary design studios occupy many of the ground floors, giving the neighbourhood a quietly cultural feel.

    RITUAL
    Water beneath stone

The spa sits within the lower level of the monastery, with the thermal pool and treatment rooms integrated into the original stone foundations. The circuit is intentionally compact — a warm pool, sauna, steam room and quiet areas shaped by the building itself. Thick masonry creates a natural hush, giving the space a calm, enclosed feel. Treatments focus on massage and bodywork to restore balance after time in the city, delivered with an unhurried, attentive touch.

    TABLE
    Marc Fosh

Dining is anchored by Marc Fosh’s Michelin-starred restaurant, one of the most refined kitchens in Palma. Set within the monastery’s former refectory, the room retains its original height and architectural features. The cooking follows a contemporary Mediterranean approach — seasonal ingredients, precise technique and dishes that feel light yet carefully composed. The focus is on clean flavour and considered presentation.

    Sleep
    Rooms & Suites

Rooms retain the monastery’s generous proportions — high ceilings, tall windows and clean architectural lines softened by minimalist furnishings and muted textiles. Some overlook the cloister courtyard, while others face the quiet street. The palette is restrained, with limestone, linen and soft neutral tones throughout.
