Overview

Perched above the rocky coastline of Canyamel, Can Simoneta is a five-star, adults-only estate set along Mallorca’s northeastern cliffs, where limestone, pine and open Mediterranean views shape the setting. The buildings, originally part of a 17th-century rural estate, are spread across several hectares of coastal land, with rooms divided between the main house and a separate Beach House closer to the water. Two infinity pools and sea-facing terraces look out over largely untouched coastline. A stay is shaped by salt air and the constant presence of the sea.

    POOLS
    Horizon views
Two infinity pools sit along the cliff edge, where water, sea and sky appear to meet. Loungers are set among the pines, looking out across Mallorca’s northeast coastline. The low-rise architecture — pale stone and horizontal lines — keeps the horizon in view, letting the landscape lead.
    TABLE
    Mallorca meets Mexico

The restaurant is recognised in the Michelin Guide, with chef David Moreno bringing a creative approach that combines Mallorcan ingredients with flavours from his native Mexico. Trained as a pastry chef, he gives particular attention to desserts. The tasting menu is the best way to experience the kitchen. Dining is mainly outdoors on sea-facing terraces, with candlelit tables sometimes set along the cliff edge.

    Landscape
    Canyamel’s quieter coast

Canyamel sits on Mallorca’s northeastern edge, close to the historic towns of Artà and Capdepera. Pine forest, farmland and rocky coves shape the surrounding landscape, with the Serra de Llevant rising inland. This part of the island feels more open and less developed — small villages, agricultural land and protected coastline creating a slower, more spacious sense of place.

    Wellness
    Sea-led restoration

Wellness here is simple and natural. A sauna, treatment rooms and massage therapies support days spent in the sun and sea. Treatments use botanical oils inspired by the surrounding landscape. Yoga sessions are occasionally held outdoors, overlooking the sea.

    Sleep
    Suites

Suites are calm and simply styled, with terraces facing the sea or gardens. Natural materials — stone, wood and linen — reflect the surrounding landscape. Rooms in the Beach House sit closest to the water, while those in the main house look over the gardens. At night, the estate feels far removed from the rest of the island.
