Overview

Set amongst the rolling hills and open skies of Tuscany’s Val d’Orcia, ADLER Thermae is shaped around the mineral-rich thermal waters of Bagno Vignoni. Warm year-round, the water flows through indoor and outdoor pools and some of the spa’s most distinctive treatments, creating an environment where slowing down feels entirely natural. Held by Water brings these experiences together over three restorative days, combining thermal bodywork, hydrotherapy, massage and mindful stillness to release accumulated tension and encourage profound relaxation. Between treatments, there is time simply to float, soak and surrender to the warmth of the water and the slower rhythm of the Tuscan countryside.

The Programme

Held by Water

There is something instinctively calming about being held in warm water. The body feels lighter, muscles soften and, for a while, there is very little you need to do.

This three-day programme explores that feeling through ADLER’s thermal traditions, moving between weightless bodywork, hydromassage, thermal reflexology and mineral-rich bathing. Restorative massage helps release the tension we carry physically, while private meditation creates space for the mind to follow. Gradually, the emphasis shifts from doing to simply being, allowing warmth, water and stillness to bring you back to a deeply rested state.

HAKI® Flow in Thermal Water (45 minutes)
Supported by warm thermal water, your body is gently straightened, rotated and stretched with light, flowing movements. Combining the healing power of water with a sense of weightlessness, this deeply restorative treatment allows the body to soften and let go.

Releasing Tension

Combining therapeutic touch with the power of water

Tension Relief Massage & Private Hydro (75 minutes)
A tension-releasing massage is combined with the beneficial effects of a private high-pressure hydromassage using 170 water jets, helping the body release accumulated tension and relax more deeply.

Thermal water amplifies the benefits of reflexology

Foot Reflexology in Thermal Water (45 minutes)
Specific reflex points on the feet are stimulated while the body is immersed in warm thermal water. The deeply relaxing qualities of the water complement the treatment, creating a restorative experience that helps the whole body unwind.

Weightless Stillness

Warm water, Dead Sea salt and complete surrender

Salt Grotto (30 minutes)
Immerse yourself in warm thermal water enriched with Dead Sea salt in the intimate surroundings of ADLER’s Salt Grotto. The mineral-rich bathing ritual encourages a wonderful sensation of weightlessness and deep relaxation while leaving the skin smooth and soft.

A deeply restorative massage for body and mind

ADLER Revive (75 minutes)
Warm cushions and scented balms prepare the body for a massage with basalt stones and relaxing movements designed to dissolve deep-seated tension. Warm regenerating oil flows over the back, neck and face, creating a deeply enveloping experience that leaves you feeling profoundly relaxed and restored.

A personalised guided meditation creates space to turn your attention inwards, quieten mental noise and settle into a deeper state of calm.
